What's new in the Wekiwa District?
Glad you asked! It's Spring and that means it's time for derby's, camporee's, banquet's, volunteer recognition, and most importantly, the selection of volunteers to lead our district! The District Chair and District Commissioner serve a two year term and the time has come for those to postions to be filled once again. Besides those two postions, we have many other positions on our district committee that are vacant in Finance, Training, Advancement, Camping, Activities, or Membership. If you or someone you know would be interested in helping our district succeed, please email our District Executive, Tony Diggs with the name and contact information for that person. We have a Nominating Committee who will select from the names submitted and those persons will be voted on at our district's annual business meeting.
District Banquet
Do you have a parent in your unit who has really been key in making your unit successful this year or went above and beyond what was expected of them to make a unit event special for your youth? Nominate that person for the Unit Spark Plug award. There are several opportunities to recognize hard working volunteers in our district, but it can't happen without you. Below are the awards that will be presented at the District Banquet in May. Click on the award name to get more information:
